At his most recent Coronavirus press briefing, President Trump confirmed that 20 individual states are in “extremely good shape,” so much so that they might be able to reopen their economies before May 1st.

President Trump further elaborated that he will be speaking to each of the nation’s 50 governors individually, and will subsequently authorize each governor to reopen their state within various timeframes depending on each state’s respective situation. As the President said, “The day will be very close, because certain states, as you know, are in much different condition and in a much different place than other states.”
