Democratic Congresswoman Katie Hill, after serving for less than one year in the House of Representatives, has resigned due to her explosive sex scandal.

This marks the first time in recent memory that a federal politician served for such a short period of time and resigned as such a disgrace, with numerous shocking and repulsive revelations such as a “three-way” relationship with her husband and a former staffer, another relationship with a 22-year-old Capitol Hill staffer, and having secret Nazi tattoos, among many, many other departures from what could be considered “normal” behavior for a sitting member of the United States Congress.

It should come as no surprise that the mainstream media almost entirely turned a blind eye to the scandal due to the “D” after her name; if she had been a Republican, the story would have been front-page news from Day One until the day of her resignation, and then some. But regardless, justice has ultimately been done as Hill resigns from her seat in Congress. Hopefully whomever takes her place will restore honor, integrity, and dignity to the disgraced office of Congressman from the 25th Congressional District of California.
