America First Highlight: Why she had to die.

For the monologue of the second hour, Sebastian solemnly revisits the tragic case of Nyiah Courtney, a 6-year-old black girl who was shot and killed in Washington D.C. in the midst of gang violence earlier this month. Although D.C. police have since announced that they have arrested and charged the man suspected of killing her, 22-year-old Marktwan Hargraves, there is another, even more tragic development in this story: At the same press conference, D.C. Police Chief Robert Contee announced that a recent sting operation had arrested 16 suspects involved in drug-trafficking in the area. Among those arrested was none other than Nyiah’s father. This tragically seems to confirm that her father’s involvement in drugs may have led to the shooting that ultimately took her life, presenting the latest devastating example of how Democratic policies and decades of unbroken Democratic rule have contributed to the decline of the African-American community.
