Sebastian is joined by Trish Regan to react to the fallout from the ongoing disaster in Afghanistan. Trish points out that this is not only an embarrassment for the United States on the international stage, but also has ramifications that could see our allies no longer trust us or consider us reliable when backup is needed overseas. They then turn to the latest economic data, where there is still a massive shortage of employees even though there are numerous job openings across the country, and work that needs to be done; Trish points out that this is still the case because the federal government has continued to hand out stimulus cash and unemployment checks that incentivize joblessness rather than actively searching for work. If this trend continues, then inflation will rise even further and the economy will not recover anytime soon.
